It’s a celebration for Rolando Maran’s Brescia who scored four goals against Lecco in front of the friendly Rigamonti crowd, gaining access to the playoffs with a round to spare, also thanks to the draw between Pisa and Südtirol.
The match
Good start to the match for Brescia who only needed twelve minutes to take the lead with Bjarnason, who did well to complete a quick vertical move.
The Rondinelle persist and shortly after the quarter of an hour Moncini extends the distance by making the most of a corner kick taken by Galazzi.
The blue and whites are in full control of the match and the only episode of the first half involves Jallow, who sees the red card drawn by the referee who then reviews his decision thanks to the intervention of the VAR.
In the second half the same scenario takes place with the Rondinelle in full possession of the match. Lecco, already relegated, struggled and Brescia took advantage of the situation to close the game by scoring two more goals with Moncini and Bianchi bringing the score to 4-0.
The guests’ only jolt came in injury time with the Inglese flag goal which made the defeat less bitter.
Brescia thus rises to 51 points and extends their lead over Südtirol by 4, qualifying for the playoffs with a match to spare.
