L’IVECO CUS Torino Rugby wins 48-5 over Rugby Noceto on the twenty-second and final day of the regular season of the championship Men’s Serie A. The university team of coaches Lucas D’Angelo, Giampiero De Carli And Philip White, thanks to this victory, reaches 100 points in the final standings of group 1, with twenty matches won, one drawn and one lost and 119 tries scored. Yesterday was an important victory in view of the playoffs for the Serie A Elite which will start on Sunday 19 May. The Cussini will play their first away match on the Cavalieri Union Rugby Prato field.

These are coach’s words Lucas D’Angelo at the end of the race: “This last championship match was very important for us because we wanted to honor all the commitments of the regular season, as we did from start to finish. What we achieved was a very positive result, 48-5, we tried different offensive solutions that we could propose again in the finals we will face. At this moment we know that our opponent will be Prato, we will start working in view of the first leg of the playoff semi-final which will be on May 19th away from them at the Chersoni Stadium. At the end of the match we spoke with the players, we congratulated everyone on this championship and on having achieved the result we had set ourselves. From tomorrow, however, these hundred points will no longer be worth it, we have to start from scratch and play all matches as if they were a final”.

Next meeting Sunday 19 May at 3.30pm away on the Cavalieri Union Rugby Prato field.
