Sassari greets the season with great success

Dinamo Sassari’s troubled season ends with a great success. Coach Markovic’s boys, after the bad performance against Varese in their last home match of the season, won 95-63 over Reggio Emilia. A match well played by the blue and whites, particularly from a defensive point of view, with an excellent second quarter which steered the match in favor of Markovic’s boys.

The news

Dinamo gets off to a good start: a triple from Kruslin and the fight under the basket Gombauld show the way. But Reggiana is no different. Chillo And Galloway they make a loud statement with the guests who, with 6 minutes left to play, put their lead at 10-8. Markovic sends it onto the field Cappelletti, Mckinnie and Diop with the Banco finding that defensive solidity that allows them to catch up with the red and whites thanks to the baskets of the Senegalese center 2′ from the first siren (12-12). Sassari changes gear, Mckinnie puts the arrow from the bow, Cappelletti transforms a steal into the points that make the blue and whites’ advantage on +5 (22-17).

New fourth but same music, with the Dynamo which continues the attack on a Reggio Emilia that is unable to contain the excellent start of the Sassari team. Tyree, Treier and Cappelletti they move the board and allow the Bank to reach +13′ in less than 4 minutes (30-17). Coach Priftis is not happy with how his players approached the partial and 5 minutes before the long break he calls him to report to give the shock. Time-out, however, which does not bring the desired results. Mckinnie has a good impact on the match: he works profitably under the basket, helps his teammates and scores valuable points which allow Sassari to extend the gap from their opponents even further. There Reggiana, after 8 minutes without a basket, unlocks the spell from the line with Weber. But the Bank doesn’t give up an inch, returning to the locker room on +19 (46-27).

Returning from the break along the Reggiana he shows signs of reaction. But the same was immediately returned to the sender by the Sassari team who, with the triples of the Kruslin-Jefferson duo and the alley-oop of Diop, immediately re-established the hierarchies, bringing the gap to +21 after 4′ minutes (54-33 ). Dinamo doesn’t drop in intensity, particularly in defence. After a few minutes without baskets, the +23 signed by Charalampopoulos arrives which once again forces the visiting coach to call a time-out just over 3′ from the siren (56-33). The minute requested by coach is of little use Pfritis: Sassari continue to raise your voice with Mckinnie and the triples of Tyree which allow the Bank to close the third set at 66-41.

Despite the large advantage, Dinamo’s intensity does not change: tight defense, well-managed possessions and rebounding battle. Reggio Emilia tries to counter Dinamo’s good day, but Tyree, Kruslin and Mckinnie continue to make Dinamo’s scoreboard slide. Diop’s triple for +30 3′ from the last siren (82-52) opens not only to great applause from the Sassari public but also to the entry onto the field of Gandini And Dore. The match ends with a general celebration for the young blue and white who, after a series of attempts, scores the two bombs of the final 95-63.
