Special edition this year, the 50th, for Guarda Firenzethe second oldest running race in the city, organized by Firenze Marathon with the collaboration of Atletica Firenze Marathon. There were around 1500 people on the starting line in total starting, between the 10 km race for adults and the 3 km mini Guarda Firenze for children and families, who walked through the streets of the historic centre.
As usual, the start and finish took place in Piazza Duomo, with the official starter being the Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Florence, Cosimo Guccione. Non-competitive event, the traditional ranking was not foreseen, but instead 150 prizes of various kinds were awarded by drawing lots provided by the sponsors for all finishers of the 10 km.
Without official registration but for the record a crossing the finish line first among the men was Ayoub Bouras confirming the leadership of the competition for the third consecutive year, in second place, in second place was Abdessamad Biar registered for the Polisportiva Ellera, while in third place was Abdelouhaed Lablaida of GS Maiano.
First among the women at the finish line was the Florentine Greta Grilli representing one of the official sponsors of the Firenze Marathon or Game 7 Athletics, second came Maria Francesca Cabiddu, member of Atletica Castello, while in third place was Maria Concetta Vittone, member of Atletica Firenze Marathon, but who represented Firenze Social Runner in this ‘event.
