Acireale goes to Syracuse, Calabrian derby at Razza

The framework for the playoffs in Group I of Serie D has been defined and, let’s remember, they do not guarantee promotion to Serie C. Furthermore, there is no national phase among the winning playoffs.

Here is the post-season scoreboard:

Phase I (Group Semifinals) – Sunday 12 May

The clubs classified in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place in each of the individual groups into which the Serie D Championship is divided participate in this phase; these companies will meet in a single match according to the following pairings:

• SIRACUSA (home) vs ACIREALE (away)

• VIBONESE (at home) against REGGIO CALABRIA (away from home)

In the event of a tie at the end of regular time, extra time will be played; if the tie persists, the best ranked club at the end of the championship will advance to the next phase.

IInd phase and last phase (group final) – 19 May:

The winners of the first phase will participate in this phase and will meet in a single match on the pitch of the club which, at the end of the championship, will have occupied the best position in their respective group rankings.

In the event of a tie at the end of regular time, extra time will be played; if the tie persists, the best ranked club at the end of the Championship will advance.
