Shows, workshops, meetings and walks to build the future of the city together
It starts from the month of May, and for the whole of 2024 Neighborhood Voices a rich program of activities will involve those who live, study and work in Turin.
The initiative was conceived by Urban Lab with the City of Turin, the Network of Neighborhood Houses, the Foundation for Culture and Tourism of Turin and the Province to encourage dialogue, listening and exchange with citizens and local communities, to inaugurate a citizen reflection on the quality of life, public spaces and services in the Turin neighborhoods.
Neighborhood Voices is a widespread campaign across the territory made up of meetings, open-air shows, walks and chats, which in spring and autumn will enliven public spaces, parks, neighborhood houses, markets and some of the most loved by the people of Turin. And the people of Turin themselves, the way they live and use the city, their desires and their ideas for a better Turin, will be the protagonists of the various initiatives.
A dedicated digital environment will accompany the activities in the territories, offering opportunities for gaming, information and engagement, even involving participants in a prize competition. Up for grabs are tickets for museums, theatres, events and much more, to take an active part in the cultural life of our city, and get to know it better… together!
There will be 5 main activities.
MEETINGS in neighborhood homes to discuss together the provision of local services, public spaces and green spaces, mobility to and from neighbourhoods, living and access to housing.
WALKS in neighborhoods to look closely at public spaces, green spaces and meeting places, discuss emerging problems and talk about the future.
SHOWS to have fun together with the little ones, and think of a more welcoming and attractive Turin for young parents, families, children and teenagers.
DIGITAL ACTIVITIES to have their say and learn new things about Turin while having fun, in a challenge between neighborhoods with many prizes up for grabs to be discovered.
CHAT with the people who frequent the squares, markets, parks and places in the neighborhoods we love most: because in thinking about the city of tomorrow everyone’s voice is important.
