Vannacci, this is how Vittorio Feltri unmasks the elites: “How they wanted to liquidate him”

General Roberto Vannacci “had the merit of giving breath, with decent and well-argued prose, to alternative ideas to those of the crème” and the “Worrymakers”, writes Vittorio Feltri on the front page of the Giornale on Sunday 5 May. The editorial director points out that there is not “a single intellectual, entrepreneur, board member, ivory tower journalist, in short, someone from the so-called ruling class, who has said: «I vote for him», or maybe even just have , with prudence, throwing out that Vannaccia’s famous book The World in Reverse contains many good reasons for having been a success, including a very banal one that I make my own: it tells several truths”.

In short, “the population is very different from the idea of ​​a people that Schlein and his companions have constructed in their heads, and unexpectedly it is not at all resigned to letting its brains be expropriated by progressive gentlemen”, explains Feltri, “who, failing to get rid of rationally of the considerations of conservatives, qualify them as unworthy of being considered human”. In short, the opposition and the members of the elite “thought they had at least managed to dismiss Vannacci as unpresentable in the lists”, but this was not the case because Matteo Salvini nominated him as an independent with the League. This, of course, hasn’t stopped the critics. Vannacci was “subjected to plastic surgery treatments, alternately deforming him jokingly like the village idiot or monsterizing him almost as if he were a velociraptor that eats trans and Africans, including children, and then spits out their bones”.

Having said this, the director reiterates that “I won’t vote for Vannacci either, and I’ve already written it: I can’t help it if I feel an attraction for Giorgia Meloni, and not in the sense of something now lost in the memories of the last millennium, but by understanding it like a lifesaver of freedom”.
