Football, the Civitavecchia squad is starting to take shape

With the corporate frameworks now practically defined, Civitavecchia is starting to plan the possible roster of players for the 2024-2025 season. On the bench, it is no longer a mystery, there will be Massimo Castagnari and with him a group of players of a low average age and possibly from Civitavecchie with the aim of having fun and placing themselves as high as possible in the standings but without the hassle of having to strength to reach the top places.

Talks have begun for several days now with the players who were part of the squad of the past season and there is already some certainty: as announced a few weeks ago Luigi Ruggiero, Riccardo Serpieri and Samuele Cerroni will not continue their relationship with Civitavecchia. For the former there is persistent talk of a move to Tolfa, where he would find the coach Macaluso, while Serpieri and Cerroni could go to Santa Marinella. Giordano Fatarella, Paolo Cerroni, Thomas Funari, Dario Luchetti, Lorenzo Gagliardi and Edoardo Luciani are practically certain to remain with the Nerazzurri, all players wanted by Castagnari who has already trained them in his previous experience on the Civitavecchia bench. There are two major doubts or rather the departments that could remain uncovered: that of the goalkeeper and the attack. Without the under rule, Civitavecchia will be looking for an expert full-back even if the situation of Francesco Midio, born in 2007, needs to be verified, as he had a lot of space last season and attracted the interests of several professional teams. If he doesn’t leave he could even become the starter. In attack everything depends on Manuel Vittorini. It is clear that with him in front the project would be of a high level and there would certainly be no shortage of goals, but if paths were to separate then Civitavecchia will be forced to look around and find important alternatives.
