News on the investigation front for the stabbing that occurred on Saturday evening in Piazza Porta la Barra. As will be remembered, shortly after 9pm on Saturday 3 May, a violent brawl was reported between some Romanian citizens in the city center of Andria. Indeed, the State Police personnel, who arrived on site, immediately ascertained the presence of some subjects injured with cutting weapons and blunt objects.
In particular, one of them had been hit by a blow to the throat, suffering a not particularly serious wound, while the other two had been hit with a blunt object, suffering, respectively, a serious wound to the head and a slight one to the shoulder. .
According to initial investigations, one of the two subjects attacked the runners with a work shovel, which was later found still stained with blood and seized by the investigators; his compatriots, in turn, would then have confronted him with knives.
Having reconstructed the alleged respective responsibilities on the part of the Flying Squad personnel, two of them were arrested in flagrante delicto for aggravated brawling and attempted murder, while the third individual was released in a state of freedom for aggravated brawling.
The judicial police informed the public prosecutor (duty magistrate of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Trani) who ordered that the arrested persons be associated with the Trani district prison.
It should be noted that the position of the suspects is being examined by the judicial authorities and that they cannot be considered guilty until a final conviction has been received.
