Di Staso: “Manfredonia is a strategic hub of the Adriatic and Mediterranean for the development of the maritime economy”

Freight terminal, logistics, fishing, tourism. Manfredonia starts again from the sea, its main resource, its identity.

The Alti Fondali Pier is finally fully operational, expressing all its potential. Even in these days it sees numerous ships docked which employ, as direct inducements, dozens and dozens of vehicles and operators.

With the financing of the PNRR (over 100 million euros) this important infrastructure will be adapted and modernized to guarantee even greater possibilities for the development of the territory. The organization of the rear-port areas is also linked to the relaunch of the Alti Fondali Pier, which is strategic for giving the territory entrepreneurial and employment opportunities, focusing on companies that do not affect the environment and health.

A relaunch is also planned for the two commercial piers, a historical structural reference for fishing. Among the new features is the long-awaited dredging which will allow cruise ships to dock at the Molo di Ponente.

It will be fundamental for the new Administration, as well done by the former mayor Gianni Rotice, to put entrepreneurs, operators and relevant institutions, such as the Port Authority and the Asi Foggia Consortium, around the same table.

Manfredonia is a strategic hub of the Adriatic and Mediterranean for the development of the maritime economy.
