writers' forest aboca 2

A space of approximately 400 square meters“green and living, which between earth, rocks and bodies of water will host thousands of plants, an undergrowth of bushes and shrubs and a real forest of medium and tall trees”.

In addition to hosting the exhibition area dedicated to Aboca Edizioni’s publications, the Writers’ Forest will be equipped with a space dedicated to reception and of a 120-seat auditorium covered by a vegetal vault: in this green meeting space, surrounded by trees, Italian and international authors will alternate every day. Over 5 days, around 40 events will involve writers, philosophers, scientists and many voices from the literary and scientific panorama, men and women who can contribute to the reflection on major environmental and health issues.

The staging this year will also include minerals, fossil finds And a fragment of meteorite: it is an invitation to abandon the anthropocentric perspective and to push our gaze beyond the human, to understand how everything on the planet is interconnected and how our health and our happiness depend on the delicate balance of the ecosystem, it is explained in the presentation.

These themes are also the premises on which the activity of Aboca Edizioni is based: the publishing house was born precisely “to bring a contribution of eco-literacy to the publishing panorama, and to research and propose, both from a scientific and economic and social, possible paths of change and development”.

The setup is made with green natural elementswith recycled or recovered materialsand all the plants used in the stand will subsequently be used for selective planting, contributing to the regeneration of degraded areas.
