Sicily. Stop decontribution, Cna: «The government makes money at the expense of Southern businesses»

«The Meloni government has decided to make money at the expense of companies in the South, for which, in 2020, a measure had been approved that guaranteed them relief from employee contributions until 2029.” Nello Battiato and Piero Giglione, respectively president and secretary of the Cna Sicilia, say this in a note.

«Yesterday Minister Fitto – they add – announced that this measure will end next June. 5 years ahead of schedule. A decision that damages companies in the South, forced to deal with a sudden and unexpected increase in labor costs in two months.

«Once again – they conclude – the South is robbed of important resources that compensated for it the higher production costs incurred by companies operating in a context with poor infrastructure and services. Infrastructures and services that the State should guarantee in every region of the country and for which it should invest huge resources.”
