LIVORNO The relamping work on the lighting of public areas in the port has begun: the LED lamps have arrived.
The intervention involves the installation of 157 new highly energy efficient lamps, with optics capable of guaranteeing high illuminance and correct uniformity.
The intervention, awarded to the DZ Engineering company of Forlì for 682,503.59 euros, will last for 8 months, and concerns all the operational areas of the port of Livorno (Medici port, passenger area, Calata del Magnale and Industrial port, Darsena Toscana and Darsena n.1), with replacement of the lighting fixtures installed both on the light towers and on the pilings.
Financed entirely with PNRR funds, obtained from the AdSP on the Green Ports tender, the works comply with the requirements of green procurement. In fact, the use of attenuation and measurement systems of absorbed power is envisaged to ensure that the energy consumption of the lighting system can be optimized and monitored in real time.
The benefit in environmental terms is derived from lower energy consumption, linked to the high performance LED lamps and the intelligent lighting system which will be active in the event of actual passage of people or vehicles or in any case of operational activities being carried out in the areas. and port docks. In fact, the contract also includes the creation of a digital infrastructure for the monitoring, control and management of each light point.
«This work acquires a particular meaning for the Institution – states the president of the AdSP, Luciano Guerrieri -, this is the first works contract launched by the AdSP as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Other interventions, for a total financing value of over fifty million euros, have already been approved with the Pnrr funds and will be started and completed between now and 2026, contributing substantially to efficiency, the digital and energy transition and the accessibility of the System’s ports”.
