here are the benefits for the post-flood period

Following the calamitous events linked to the flood emergency, the municipal administration of Faenza has decided to grant contributions relating to Imu and Tari for some types of businesses damaged by floods and from the inconveniences caused by construction sites for reconstruction works. With a view to encouraging the restart of economic activities and making the Faenza area more competitive, the contributions have been designed not only for the businesses that have reopened but also for those that will open from scratch. The contribution is added to the discounts relating to the occupation of public land already in force for commercial and street vendors

IMU benefits

As regards the IMU, the relief will be granted in the form of reimbursement commensurate with the IMU paid on the real estate units in 2023 and can be requested with a specific application until 30 September 2024. The contribution is also expected for 2025 at 50% compared to the IMU paid in 2024.

The beneficiaries of the economic measure are the owners of real estate units for commercial and artisanal use located throughout the municipal territory – with the exception of properties located in shopping centers and integrated commercial areas -, who, in compliance with urban planning – building regulations, will make available for at least three months in 2024 its premises to allow the start-up of new commercial or artisanal activities. This benefit will also be guaranteed retroactively with respect to rental contracts stipulated after 16 May 2023 and active on the date of presentation of the specific contribution request.

The same relief will also be available to owners of real estate units for commercial and artisanal use who have suffered damage from the flood who, for at least three months, will make these premises available to allow the transfer of headquarters of artisanal and commercial businesses.

Tari concessions

As regards the Tari, the measure is aimed at commercial and artisanal businesses flooded with a contribution equal to 60% of the amount of the TARI due for the year 2024, provided that the companies have resumed operations in 2023 and will continue to operate in 2024 for at least six months.

Provided that they keep their business open for at least three months during the year, the same contribution equal to 60% of the 2024 TARI amount will also be available to commercial and artisan businesses that will open from scratch in 2024 and to those that have already opened a new one. new business after 16 May 2023, operating for at least two months in 2024.

As mentioned, benefits are also provided for businesses that have suffered penalties due to both the flood and the construction sites for the reopening of the Ponte delle Grazie and the new Bailey bridge. In this case the contribution will be equal to 200% of the TARI due for 2024 for the businesses in Piazza Lanzoni and 50% for those located in Corso Europa and side streets, in Via Forlivese from Porta delle Chiavi to the intersection with Via Carchidio and Via De Gasperi.

To access the TARI contribution, a specific request must be submitted electronically by 30 November 2024 using the “Online services” portal – “Portal of services to citizens and businesses”.

Finally, by virtue of the service of primary importance they carry out for the community, an exceptional contribution of 2,000 euros was approved for the flooded newsstands which carry out newspaper and magazine sales activities as an exclusive point and which, in 2023, have suffered a contraction in turnover compared to the previous year.
