GROSSETO – The project between Fiab Grosseto and Fossombroni continues regarding the correct use of an ecological means of transport such as the bicycle and the economic value linked to our territory, with the rapidly expanding cycle tourism sector. The project, strongly desired by the school director Francesca Dini, is coordinated by the head of the sports department Amedeo Gabbrielli, and makes use of the collaboration with the Fiab Grosseto of the president Angelo Fedi. A collaboration that has been underway since 2021 and which touches on various aspects, including education on the correct use of the bicycle in total safety. In this school year the chosen itinerary took the students of Fossombroni inside the Maremma Park. A route of around 25 kilometers that brings together outdoor physical activity, an economy linked to tourism and safety.
The students, led by Fiab Grosseto, went to Alberese, where they rented bikes and received all the equipment needed to cycle safely: from the highly visible jacket to the protective helmet. The excursion introduced the students to the scenic beauty of Maremma nature, complete with visits to historic and fascinating places in our territory. Great importance has been given to correct road education, with Fiab Grosseto which, for years now, has been trying to provide young people with the right information for traveling safely. The project is reserved for the first and second classes of Fossombroni.
