FALCONARA «I want to make love with you, I like you, don’t run away». The 75-year-old from Castelferretti, who was walking around 10.15am on May 1st on a pavement in Via Pieve di Cadore, could hardly believe his eyes: two young people of around 25 years of age attacked him, trying to approach him physically and shouting at him that they wanted to stay with him. The shorter one who was also robust (while the other was more slender and thinner) threw herself at his neck vehemently telling him that she wanted to make love with him. The 75-year-old tried to push them away and take them off him but the two continued their approaches and their physical aggression which appeared to be amorous.
Suddenly, after a few seconds, however, the two stopped and promptly disappeared, to the bewilderment of the man who immediately thought he had been the victim of a theft. He checked the pockets of his clothes: everything was in order, the wallet, the cell phone, the keys. He returned home, he told his wife with surprise what had happened to him and then he went to the restaurant with his wife. Only in the club, 3 hours after the episode which took place on the pavement, did he realize that he no longer had the gold chain with the crucifix around his neck which had an emotional as well as economic value. And to think that the chain was not in sight and the 75-year-old was wearing it under his shirt. «Evidently they followed him and knew his habits», says the young daughter-in-law who adds a significant detail. «Another episode from 2017 that also happened in Castelferretti came to mind.
Even then, two very young thieves, not even of age at the time, threw themselves at a former mathematics teacher who was returning home, making very explicit risqué proposals. I thought they could be the May Day thieves: 7 years later they have grown up and perhaps have used the same technique against the 75-year-old who was walking on the sidewalk.”
