The Anteas social volunteering association of Piacenza, an association linked to the CISL, delivered on Friday 3 May, through its president Adriano Linari, to Lyudmyla Popovych, president of the local Nadiya association, a check for 1,200 euros intended for the purchase of a vehicle suited to the urgent needs of the country at war.
Solidarity and concrete facts
“I want to thank Anteas and the CISL who have always been close to us since the beginning of the invasion, not only by expressing solidarity but also with concrete actions – commented Popovych -. This contribution will help us continue to provide assistance to Ukrainian people who need it. We are actually involved in fundraising for two ambulances and Anteas’ generosity represents a further and significant step towards reaching our goal. We must always keep our attention high on this war.”

THE CISL COMMENT
“In an international situation like the current one which sees so many wars underway, it is first of all necessary to remain human – added the general secretary of CISL Parma Piacenza, Michele Vaghini and the deputy general secretary of the category of CISL FNP pensioners Aldo Baldini -. An immediate effort is needed from the international community for true peace mediation. What is happening for example in Ukraine and Gaza is something inconceivable for the conscience of a human being. An immediate ceasefire is needed to safeguard the population and to build a lasting and just peace through an international conference for conflict resolution. This continuous escalation of the war must worry us.”
