Intense rain and gusts of wind in the Varese area

This morning, the Varese area woke up under a gray sky full of rain.

The Pre-Alpine Geophysical Centre forecast for today a persistent cloud cover with sporadic clearing. The Alps and Pre-Alps will be subject to showers and thunderstorms, while on the plains atmospheric phenomena will be less frequent. In the mountains, the snow line will drop to around 1500 metres.

Similar conditions are expected for tomorrow, Friday 3 May. The morning will be characterized by very cloudy skies with the possibility of sporadic showers or thunderstorms. In the afternoon, more sunny spells are expected on the plains, but cloud cover persists irregularly in the mountains with possible local showers.
