Livorno 2 May 2024 – Esperanto at Libroexpo 2024 Livorno
In Livorno, Esperantists are present with their own stand at Libroexpo – which is held with free admission from 3 to 5 May at Porta a Mare.
The stand, organized by the Livorno Esperanto group “Ni semas” – belonging to the Italian Esperantist Federation APS (FEI, www.esperanto.it) – will present Esperanto through the Italian reprint of the manual “Esperanto with the direct method” by Stano Marček and a selection of the rich Esperantist literature, testimony to the cultural diversity and creativity of the global Esperantist community.
Esperanto is in fact the international language characterized by a regular and intuitive structure that facilitates mutual understanding and access to global communication that unites people from different parts of the world and different cultures. This helps to create a literary and cultural universe rich in thematic variety, styles and stories, a plurality of human and cultural experiences.
The stand staff will also be available to illustrate the “30 hours of gold” educational project of the Italian Esperanto Institute. The initiative launched in recent years by the Tuscan Regional School Office is gathering interest and approval in many schools in various Italian regions and in some public administrations of other European states.
Libroexpo 2024 Livorno is organized by the Etruria Eventi Association and the writer and musician Sergio Consani. It is an engaging event, open to all and free. The opening hours are set for Friday from 11am to 8pm, while Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 8pm.
