The storms persist in the north and the African heat in the south. This is what Andrea Garbinato, editorial manager of the website www.-, states, confirming the arrival of a second disturbance.

Compact veils are also expected in the south, albeit with summer highs of up to 35°C in Ragusa, 34°C in Foggia and Syracuse and 30°C also in Naples and on the Amalfi Coast. On Friday 17th a marked improvement will arrive in the north, even if thunderstorms persist in the Alps, Pre-Alps and adjacent plains.
Maximum temperatures could reach 37°C in the internal areas of Sicily and the sun will return to prevail over a good part of the country. The rain will return over the weekend, with very variable weather in the south and showers in the lower Tyrrhenian Sea, in particular between Sicily and Calabria.
In detail – Thursday 16. In the north: thunderstorms with hail. In the centre: sometimes veiled sun and summer heat, showers in upper Tuscany. In the south: sometimes veiled sun and summer heat. – Friday 17. In the north: improvement except for showers in the Alps and adjacent plains.
In the center: prevailing good, warm weather. In the south: sunny and warm. – Saturday 18. In the north: some rain in Piedmont, sunshine elsewhere. In the center: rains in Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise. In the south: irregular rain, local thunderstorms. Trend: Sunday with further showers in the centre-south, locally persistent. Start of the week with further rain in the centre-south and then towards the north.
