24 of them parade, proud and excited at the same time. They reach center stage to collect their honor: deserved, hard-earned, earned. They are the 24 Calabrians who today received the decoration awarded by the Head of State who nominated them at the Prefecture Palace of Catanzaro Masters of Labor with the “Stars of Merit” intended to enhance and recognize qualities and values ​​carried forward over years of a career.

On the day dedicated to the most noble and primary of constitutional principles, the prefect of the capital, Enrico Ricci, assisted by the Undersecretary of the Interior, Wanda Ferro and by the prefects of the Calabrian provinces, met the illustrious fellow countrymen to congratulate and officially present the diploma of merit and the pin sent by the Quirinale. Precisely on the highest of the Roman hills, two of the new masters of Calabrian work will be received in the coming months to receive the same recognition directly from the hands of the President of the Republic: they are Giampiero Mazza and Vittoria Menniti. The other 24 did not miss a solemn ceremony which saw the participation of the highest civil and military officials of the territory together with the Territorial Directors of Labor of Calabria, the Regional Consul and the Provincial Consuls of the Masters of Labor.

Industriousness, moral conduct and seniority requirements, the qualities recognized in the 24 citizens present in Catanzaro today.

“A very prestigious honor to 24 citizens who have done well in their work: Calabrian excellence in the world of work”. The words of the Prefect of Catanzaro who recalled the words pronounced yesterday by President Mattarella, highlighting the centrality of work in the Constitution and underlining the positive aspects of the increase in the employment rate, without forgetting the many and too many unrelated deaths that weigh on the conscience of each one.

“An important day” also for Undersecretary Ferro who commented with reassurance on the latest data provided by the Government in relation to the increase in stable job positions, the increase in work for women but also “what must be the attention of institutions to non-profit entrepreneurship at all costs, obviously to the detriment of many human lives”.
