Ex Bramante, here we are. Archaeological surveys underway
Descriptive text here

Perhaps we have reached the end of the road for the building block of the former Bramante institute in Piazzale Aldo Moro, a connection point between the historic centre, Via Rossini, and the seaside area with Viale della Repubblica. This is because the archaeological expertise was requested. And soil surveys are expected to take place by the end of the month. A step required by law. Under the Bramante there shouldn’t be anything particular because until the end of the 1500s the sea reached Viale della Vittoria so in that stretch there should only be sand. But as one archaeologist said, “never say never.”

This is a fundamental step towards closing the contracts and therefore starting with a redevelopment of that sector which is owned by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, with a small strip of property owned by the municipal administration. Archaeological surveys are mandatory because the recovery plan also includes two floors of underground parking.

There would be two consortiums interested in this block of over 10,000 square meters: one would be led by Riccardo Concetti and would have a company from Pesaro behind it – the name is Mulazzani GG – and also the Benni family from Senigallia, the owners of the King sport chain ; the other is a construction company from outside the province. Confirmations arrive both from the world of the city’s construction companies and from the municipal administration. Since it was an operation worth over 30 million euros, Riccardo Concetti also went knocking on Renco’s doors, which however backed out. Renco, by the way, which is becoming the dominus not only at a local level, because in recent weeks the company led by Giovanni Gasperini and Giovanni Rubini has had its fill of contracts: in Milan it must build the new headquarters of the state university for an amount of 350 million euros; therefore it was awarded the redevelopment of the entire area of the former Cortina railway station which includes around forty apartments, the construction of a hotel and also underground car parks: therefore in recent days it won together with Hera, the Bolognese company that controls Marche Multiservizi, also another large contract for the disposal of sludge and not only from the port of Ravenna. Returning to Bramante, once the underground surveys have been completed, the operation should be closed.
