2023 of the ASP Città di Siena ended with a loss of 608 thousand euros, net of the use of 188 thousand euros of reserve funds. The president of the subsidiary, Guido Pratesi, revealed the numbers and recalled how the data in the approved budget are in line with those for 2022. The board of directors, explained Pratesi, “has been in office for a few weeks and has been able to do little. However, the organisation’s capital structure should manage the hole without any particular disruption to its daily activity”, he assured. The current year, at least according to expectations, should however be better. “The data for the first quarter of 2024 – continues Pratesi – signal a discontinuity and give rise to hope for a positive conclusion to these twelve months. We have the basis for greater peace of mind. This derives from a satisfactory percentage of use of the residences and from greater care in managing costs”. Added to this are the positive responses coming from the pharmacy sector, which is slowly returning to its pre-covid economic accounts. The attention of the board of directors will concern the entire company, with an update of the various structures and improved energy efficiency which should lead to savings. “We will also be attentive to school canteens,” continued Pratesi.
