GROSSETO – Home success in the last championship match for Pallacanestro Grosseto Team 90, which won 65-57 over Impruneta Basket. In an atmosphere made more tense than necessary by a fringe of visiting supporters, Manganelli’s boys did not allow themselves to be distracted and closed the first quarter 13 to 14, not managing to express themselves at their best but still remaining ahead: the second quarter ended 30 -26. In the third quarter the pace does not improve, but Grosseto remains in the lead and this allows them to leave no room for the guests’ attempts to return, who remain 45-40 down. In the last half Impruneta falls, tamed by the agility of Ciacci and by captain Franzese (14 points each) with the large Maremma public celebrating the victorious last day.
Team 90 closes its 2023/24 season with an excellent fifth place, just outside the playoffs, which just missed out, which gave the satisfaction of seeing a cohesive group advance, growing in mentality and solidity.
