Mattarella in Calabria, the anticipation for the President’s visit is growing

COSENZA Officials of the Prefecture of Cosenza and the police forces engaged in the latest inspections and in the meticulous definition of the travel program of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella in the province of Cosenza. The Head of State, next Tuesday 30 April – on the occasion of Labor Day – will visit two companies in the Agri-food District – and will meet, in addition to the entrepreneurs, the president of the Calabria Region Roberto Occhiuto, the president of the Province of Cosenza Rosaria Succurro and the prefect of Cosenza Vittoria Ciaramella. The timetable is tight: we start from the Gias of Mongrassano. The company has been developing innovative frozen products for over half a century with a focus on the Italian culinary tradition and the Mediterranean diet.

There Jas exports to around 15 different countries and the transformation process is a cornerstone of the quality of its products. President Mattarella will then move to Castrovillari to meet the top management of Assolac/Granarolo. The Granarolo factory in the city of Pollino is an excellence in the dairy sector and high quality cheeses have been produced there for generations, using only fresh milk from certified local farms. The establishment of Castrovillari processes 45 million liters of milk, 95% of which comes from Calabrian farmers and the remaining 5% from Apulian farmers. (HANDLE)
