Policeman stabbed: pm, the attacker is extremely dangerous

Hasan Hamis, the 37-year-old irregular Moroccan who last night seriously stabbed police deputy inspector Christian Di Martino, 35, is an extremely dangerous and violent person and who unleashes his instincts even more when faced with the police aggressive. With these reasons, the Milan Prosecutor’s Office asked the investigating judge that the attacker remain in prison, highlighting among the precautionary needs, and following the police investigations, the danger of repeating the crime. Hamis is accused of attempted murder, aggravated resistance to a public official, injury to two other officers who intervened, carrying a knife (30 centimeters long with a 20 centimeter blade) and false attestations of identity, because, as reported by the prosecutor on duty, during various checks by the police in recent years he presented himself with at least 22 different aliases. The prosecutor also reconstructs his violent action towards passers-by, against whom he threw numerous stones taken from the railway embankment on platform 12 of the Lambrate station, also hitting a woman, fortunately slightly injured, before the intervention of the deputy inspector and other agents. From the reconstruction of the documents it emerges that, before the police managed to stop him, the 37-year-old was throwing stones from platform 12 violently and in all directions. A 55-year-old woman stated on record that, around 11.30pm yesterday, while she was going to work along Via Viotti, near the station, she was suddenly hit on the temple by a large stone. She was bleeding and very dazed, she remained on the pavement and luckily, she explained again, looking up she saw some officers who showed her a place to take shelter nearby. In fact, before intervening and blocking the 37-year-old, the police also managed to get other people who could have been hit away. The same woman reported that, after taking cover, she fainted and was immediately rescued. She was then treated with three stitches in hospital. Among other things, the documents also state that the other policemen managed to disarm the man in a very timely manner, after he had stabbed Di Martino three times, with the knife that he kept hidden in the sleeve of his jacket. They snatched the knife from his hands and broke it and threw it away, saving their colleague. The officers who intervened to stop him previously also had to chase him while he ran to the center of the tracks. The Taser’s electric discharges had been neutralized by the clothing the 37-year-old was wearing. So the sub-inspector had to quickly reach him from behind to make him fall to the ground. And he was stabbed in the lower back and abdomen, wounds that caused severe internal bleeding.

The father, who is staying in a nearby hotel, has entered and left the health facility several times, while the partner of Di Martino, originally from Ischia, has always remained inside. Several officers, including close friends and colleagues, remained in front of the entrance to the pavilion where the policeman is located throughout the day.
