Athletics L’Aquila wins two silver medals and one bronze at the Regional Club and Individual Relay Championships. Simone De Benedictis in Rieti in the m. 200 floors obtains the minimum for the Italian Student Championships
Thursday 25 April in Pescara, at the Adriatico “G. Cornacchia” the Society and Individual Relay Championships were held. Cadets/and Boys/ee on Regional Individual Relay Championship All/Jun/Pro/Ass/ male and female. Athletics L’Aquila participated with the full team in ten relays, with twenty-two athletes, winning two silver medals in the 3×800 girls and in the 4×400 students and a bronze medal in the 4×100 students. Also noteworthy is the 4th place in the 3×1000 Cadette. In the 4×400 relay, Atletica L’Aquila came second behind the Passologico Pescara club, with a time of 3’39”01, leaving Amatori Atl behind. Serafini Sulmona. These are the members of the L’Aquila quartet: Dario Giusti, Giorgio Etere, Francesco Panella, Simone De Benedictis. Silver medal also for the girls’ 3×800 middle distance relay, second after Pol. Tethys Chieti with a time of 8’23”80, third with Nuova Atletica Lanciano. These are the components Valentina Tunno, Elena Di Bernardini, Camilla Oliva. Bronze in the 4×100 students with Dario Giusti, Giorgio Etere, Matteo Ventulini and Simone De Benedictis who completed the lap of the track in 46″55 after the Amatori Atl. Serafini Sulmona and the Abruzzo Athletic Union. Noteworthy is the 4th place in the 3×1000 cadet with Alice Stringini, Maria Luisa Rotellini And Alice Piccinini who completed the race in 11’10”47. Also yesterday in Tivoli in the “Liberation Trophy”, Daniele Marcelli came 2nd in the m. 3000 with the new personal best of 8’32”88. In his debut on the track in Rieti last week, Simone De Benedictis set personal bests in the m. 100 floors 11”13 and 200 floors 22”68, the latter being the minimum participation for the Italian Category Championships. In the same race the sprinter Antonella Nardis in m. 100 floors she equaled the personal best by running in 12”00.
