PESCARA – “There is a lot of enthusiasm for a historic moment for our nation, after having fought to be the undisputed leader of the centre-right and a driving force in the Region which has beaten twice in a row a centre-left which has been a bit of a holy ground for the wide field who concluded his experience here. Today a strong message towards Europe is coming from Pescara and Abruzzo, the Italian model is being brought to Europe so that it can be an example of good governance”.
Thus, to AbruzzoWeb, the senator from L’Aquila of FdI Guido Liris, connected from Pescara where the programmatic conference of Fratelli d’Italia is underway, which began today, entitled “Italy changes Europe”, in the structures set up on the beach in front of the very central Cascella ship.
In addition to the prime minister Giorgia Meloni, until Sunday, all the center-right leaders will be present, starting with the deputy prime ministers Antonio Tajani of Fi, Matteo Salvini of the League, Maurizio Lupi of We Moderates e Lorenzo Cesa of the UDC. The president of the Senate was also present Ignazio La Russa. And then the team of ministers in the Brothers of Italy, in full force, parliamentarians and mayors, big names from state-owned companies but also from the world of SMEs.
Regarding the salient themes of the event, Liris explains: “From the reforms of the premiership and differentiated autonomy, to security, to the conservation of Made in Italy, to the social model we have in mind for this country. From the end of ‘everything for free’ and welfare, of citizen’s income, promoting reward models for those who decide to roll up their sleeves and act alongside the institutions to improve the territory and the nation”.
“Various topics, all addressed by ministers, in fact there is an entire Government that here in Abruzzo will bear witness to everything that has been positive up to now, designing the future perspective of the coming years in Italy and Europe. Taking into account that very important games are being played in Europe, which concern in particular the Stability Pact, the European accounting system which is being changed. Being able to count today in Europe means being able to write less penalizing rules for Italy, and a Government like that of Giorgia Meloni can do this which, compared to those who preceded us, does not lower its head, bangs its fists on the table with decision and dictates the rules of the game. We are here with 3 thousand delegates to testify to the trust and closeness to the work of FdI, giving our contribution in a future perspective”.
Commenting on the start of the twelfth legislature in the Region, after the historic reconfirmation of the center-right led by the president Marcus Marsilio: “There is a lot of desire, a lot of performance anxiety, we don’t have much time to waste, to dedicate to testing. We have been coming for 5 years which have already seen us run around a lot and we are starting again after stopping only for the elections. Infrastructure policy will be particularly decisive in making Abruzzo increasingly a hinge between North and South, increasingly emancipated compared to national policies which for years have seen it relegated to third place. There are important challenges and if there is some fibrillation even with allied friends it is because there is a desire to make a difference and to demonstrate that we are up to the difficult but very stimulating historical moment that we are experiencing”, concludes Liris.
