Killed by a friend after a violent argument. Then his body abandoned in the street. It happened yesterday morning in Viale Cremona, a suburban area of Pavia. The body of a 36-year-old originally from the Dominican Republic, Jiulio Rosario Santos, was found on the ground by a passer-by. According to what was reconstructed by the police, the victim was attacked by a 70-year-old who had been hosting him for some time in his apartment: Fausto Baiguera. The man tracked down quickly admitted: “I hit him on the head”. The murder would have taken place right in his home. Investigators are still working to clarify the suspect’s position but it seems that it was he who dragged the body out of the house and abandoned it in front of the house. The cause of death is full of mystery. The family members explained to the military that the victim, with serious alcoholism problems, had lived with the man for about ten years. No obvious injuries were found on Santos’ body. Late yesterday afternoon, Baiguera’s more detailed version of the incident convinced the investigators to proceed with the arrest on charges of voluntary homicide and taken to the Torre del Gallo prison.
