“I am happy to be able to deliver another portion of this incredible work to the city. A step forward, albeit small if we consider the size of the area, in view of the definitive opening of the Campi Diomedei”. This was stated by the mayor of Foggia, Maria Aida Episcopowhich tomorrow 27 April, at 11.30 am, together with the vice president of the Puglia Region Raffaele Piemontese, the president of the City Council Lia Azzarone and the members of the City Council, will participate in the delivery ceremony of the new area inside the urban park.
With an extension of 23 hectares, Campi Diomedei is a candidate to be one of the largest urban parks in central-southern Italy. With that to be delivered tomorrow, the usable area will amount to 5.5 hectares, to which must be added the 4 hectares already available at the Ex Iriip.
“I would like – underlines Episcopo – for the enormity of a work to be understood, which comes from afar, which will give the city a great “environmental heritage” which, beyond the urban planning aspect, will have a great social impact in terms of green areas and spaces accessible to the community. A heritage that we will have to jealously guard with extreme care and attention.”
