Investigations are in full swing to trace those responsible for the scuffles that occurred during last Sunday’s Pescara-Ancona football championship match. During the clashes to avoid contact between the two fans, an official of the Pescara Police Headquarters, working in the away section, who underwent surgery yesterday for a fractured jaw, and four service workers at the Adriatic grandstand, three soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza and a policeman from the Police Headquarters who was found to have a contusion to his
finger. Of the three financiers, one was hit by a firecracker exploding and suffered a broken toe with a 30-day prognosis; another soldier reported the
fracture of a phalanx of the hand, with a prognosis of 20 days, and a third suffered blunt trauma to a shoulder with a prognosis of 5 days. The investigations involving both groups of fans are also aimed at adopting the Daspo measure.
