TERAMO – The Teramo Agriculture Fair opened with a boom in attendance, now in its 33rd edition, which this year sees the participation of 210 exhibitors. After the ribbon cutting with all the institutions which was held yesterday afternoon, today the trade fair dedicated to the agricultural world, including conferences, exhibition of producers, agricultural vehicles and tools, animals, plants and flowers, enriched by food and wine and from entertainment, it got to the heart of things.
“The weather yesterday afternoon”, highlights the councilor Antonio Filipponi, president of the fair committee, organizer of the event which takes place in the Teramo river park until April 28th, “did not encourage the public to participate. This morning, however, the influx was truly remarkable.”
For today, the fair wanted to dedicate space and attention to the Liberation Day, “with the students of the Di Poppa-Rozzi institute who throughout the day proposed readings on the theme, until this afternoon, with the last moment, with the participation of the mayor at 5.45 pm, which will conclude this part of the event”, he explains.
The event goes on every day until 10pm, with the display of the vehicles and all the collateral activities promoted.
“This morning”, continues the councillor, “there was also the first conference organized by Coldiretti on the growth opportunities for agricultural companies deriving from the Pnrr”.
The conference focuses will continue every day, with seminars on the excellences of the Teramo hills, on rural tourism, on sustainable agriculture, on microplastics, on the safety of foods of animal origin, on the Atria black hen, on oil, wine, chocolate , and much more.
The Agricultural Fair is as always a party, enriched by music which this year will be in an itinerant form, every day from 5pm to 7pm, with the groups Malafè Danza, Laccio d’Ampre, the Maccabbari, the Tribù di Farindola and the But Tru. The Teramo Children Aps association will also be operational as part of the fair, offering eco-pedagogical workshops and readings on good environmental practices for children aged 6 to 12.
The fair committee is made up of Izs Teramo, ASL Teramo, University of Teramo, Coldiretti Teramo, Cia L’Aquila Teramo, Polo Agrario Teramo, Dmc Gran Sasso Laga, Gal Terreverdi Teramane, Gal Abruzzo, Fisar Teramo, Its Teramo, Its Academy, and Order of Agronomists and Forestry Doctors and then Municipality, Gran Sasso Chamber of Commerce of Italy and Bim which contributed financially and with the sponsorship of Teramani Builders.
