Liberation Day, from the ceremony to the War Memorial

ANCONA – The celebrations organized by the ANPI (National Association of Partisans of Italy) for the 79th anniversary of the Liberation will take place today, the 80th for Ancona. Starting on Saturday 20 April, they will culminate today, April 25thwith the ceremony scheduled at 10.30 in Piazza IV Novembre – War Memorial, organized by the Navy Schools Command. Yesterday morning however the commemoration at the Allied War Cemetery in Passo Varano) with the participation of school groups. The municipal administration was represented by the councilor Daniele Berardinelli who spent time with the kids, focusing on the history of the liberation of Ancona, which took place in July 1944.

The program after the ceremony

At 11.00, the procession and event will take place from Piazza IV Novembre to Piazza Cavour with the participation of the Torrette di Ancona musical band. They will intervene Daniele Silvetti, Mayor of Ancona e Tamara Ferretti, ANPI National Secretariat.
