Simone Versini imposed himself with authority in the Spring Tournament, organized by the Circolo Tennis Torbole, prevailing in the final over his teammate Davide Tiboni with a score that allows no discussion: 6/1 6/2. In addition to the ranking and the greater experience of Versini, Tiboni perhaps also paid for the tiredness of the victorious Serie C matches in which he had been involved in the morning on the fields of Arco in the match against Borgo Chiese in which, moreover, Versini was also the protagonist with a comeback victory over Gnutti who, evidently, was better able to metabolise.
Previously Simone had regulated the always difficult Over 55 Andrea Galler, the Rotalian maestro who has been under the Torbole coach for years with whom – together with Riccardi – he boasts numerous trophies among the veterans. Galler who, previously, had been the protagonist of the elimination of Riccardo Trentini, the master from Rovereto who retired when he was 7/2 down in the super tie break. In the upper part of the scoreboard, set up by the Referee Erika Moncher, Tiboni had managed to get the better of another tough problem, the over 45 maestro from Chiesa Angelo Bianchi, who kept him on the court until the third set and who he showed up at the match with the scalp of the n°1 seed Lorenzo Loro, of the C10, who practically offered no resistance. Among the members of the Arco coach, Simone Santoni’s tournament was also discreet and he reached the quarter-finals.
