From 2pm today (4 May 2024) the car park in Via Fara, renamed “Parcheggio Città Alta”, is open to the public, with all the road changes that it brings with it. With a total capacity of 469 parking spacesis structured on 8 underground floors used as a garage. All floors, except +7 (cash office and offices floor), are intended for parking. Two floors are intended for private parking spaces (64 in total), to be leased for a period of 90 years. Of these, some parking spaces are still available. There are 405 parking spaces intended for public use for short-term parking and season tickets (monthly and annual).
The exit in Piazza Mercato del Fieno
The pedestrian exits are located on the ground floor (to reach Via della Fara) and on the top floor. The intervention area is sloping, with a difference in height of 31.30 meters between Via della Fara and downstream, where vehicles can enter and exit. The pedestrian exit upstream leads towards Piazza Mercato del Fieno in the Upper Town. To connect the pedestrian exit of the upstream car park with Piazza Mercato del Fieno, a pre-existing tunnel was used, built as an anti-aircraft shelter during the Second World War, now renovated, illuminated and under video surveillance like the entire car park. The intervention surface is 3,275 square meters divided into underground spaces (57,300 cubic meters) and above ground (main stairwell with elevators for 308 cubic meters).
Open 24 hours a day
The car park, open 24 hours a day, it is also totally accessible to disabled people, for which 10 parking spaces are reserved, thanks to two elevators that connect the parking floors to the exit towards Piazza Mercato del Fieno. Furthermore, the new car park integrates a control and addressing system for the individual parking spaces to allow you to immediately identify the available spaces in the Città Alta car park.
Hourly rates and subscriptions
All detailed information is available on the website www.bergamoinchiaro.it, in the Mobility section. Regarding the rates, from Monday to Sunday the hourly rate is 3.30 euros with a daily maximum of 30 euros. Are provided scale tilesof 60 and 120 euros, and weekly rates, of 99 (one week) and 179 euros (two weeks). There are different types of subscriptions. Monthly rates are of three prices: 90 euros (night only, from 9am to 7pm), 167 euros (day only, from 7am to 7pm) and 215 euros (day and night). Annual subscriptions: 85 euros per month (night only, from 9am to 7pm), 129 euros per month (weekdays only, from 7am to 7pm), 155 euros per month (day only, from 7am to 7pm) and 195 euros per month (day and Night).
