“Rolando’s obsession with mayoral candidate Alessandro Mager is now becoming a pathological phenomenon. Unable to produce his own idea of the city, he spends his time talking about his opponent. This doesn’t surprise us too much, because we know who takes orders from and who lets them dictate the line.” This is said by the Mayoral Alessandro Mager Election Committee which continues: “In his latest communications Rolando has repeatedly criticized the mayoral candidate Alessandro Mager for the expressions of preference received from the mayors of Sanremo and Imperia, Alberto Biancheri and Claudio Scajola.
Rolando himself, who had to ask permission from all the party secretariats to get his candidacy approved, or who had to go on a pilgrimage to Genoa and Rome to talk to politicians of all sorts to get approval, criticizes Mager for these two certificates of esteem received?
Are we talking about the same Rolando who a year ago went to Mayor Biancheri to propose himself as mayor and ask for his support? Are we talking about the same Rolando who incessantly sought the support of Claudio Scajola and who today plays to distance himself from him after following him for much of his political history? The same Rolando who needed Scajola’s endorsement already in 2004, when he was already a candidate for mayor and lost sensationally against Claudio Borea? Are we talking about the same Rolando who has long praised the administrative activity of the Biancheri administration, especially for the major works undertaken (of which he himself was the designer), only to then distance himself from them today? Why all these second thoughts on Rolando’s part? What are these contradictions in him due to?
Hoping that Rolando and his spokesperson committee will clarify their ideas, we once again renew the appeal for the electoral campaign to return to being based on themes and contents”.
