GIULIANOVA. Climate of collaboration and unanimous vote in the city council yesterday for the approval of two important points on the agenda regarding city planning. The issue of the variation to the Lido master plan has been unblocked. In the first point, postponed in the previous session due to conflict of interest and lack of quorum, the councilors unanimously voted to unblock the variant which affects the heart of the Lido, in particular via Nazario Sauro and surrounding areas. As explained by the head of the municipal planning office Raffaele Di Marcello, the variant «will make the recovery of the buildings in the B3 area easier and will allow, during the renovation, to overcome the problems due to the distances and heights between the buildings». In the past, these critical issues had created tensions between neighbors, in some cases resulting in legal disputes.
The advisor Paolo Bonaduce he also underlined that the areas to be sold to the Municipality could be monetized, i.e. the entity could receive a sum of money in place of the land, subject to the definition of a specific regulation which will establish methods for collection and use of the funds. The second point relating to the re-bordering and redistribution of public areas in via Amendola, both building and intended for parking and urban greenery, was also unanimously approved. Yesterday’s session, in second call, was the penultimate for the Costantini administration. The last municipal council, scheduled for the second half of May, will focus on the approval of the final budget, deferred for reasons related only to the malfunction of the management software.
