MONTE VIDON CORRADO – As part of the Art Meetings of Monte Vidon Corrado exhibition, curated by the Osvaldo Licini Study Center in collaboration with the Municipality of Monte Vidon Corrado, the long-awaited second meeting on the Pre-Raphaelites, sponsored by the Academy of Fine Arts of Frosinone, preparatory to the visit of the great exhibition underway at the San Domenico Civic Museum in Forlì. Maria Stella Bottai, historian and art critic of the Frosinone Academy, with a profound knowledge of the topic, will talk about the second generation of the Pre-Raphaelites whose protagonists were Edward Burn-Jones, William Waterhouse and William Morris whose refined creations of applied art, produced by the Arts and Crafts Society, they anticipated Liberty.
The speaker and Loredana Finicelli will then guide the members of the Licini Study Center in a visit to the “Pre-Raphaelites. Modern Renaissance” scheduled for June 2nd.
PhD in History of Art at the Sapienza University of Rome in collaboration with Helsinki University, Maria Stella Bottai taught Didactics and teaching methodology in History of Art at Sapienza, with particular reference to digital tools and methods experimental. She is the author of monographs, articles, essays and curator of exhibitions of contemporary artists. You are currently a professor of Art History at the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone.
On Sunday it will also be possible to visit Giorgio Cutini’s exhibition “Silence in fragments” in the Licini House Museum and in the exhibition rooms of the Study Center the exhibition “Pupille. New artistic sensibilities” organized in collaboration with the Academies of Fine Arts of Macerata and Frosinone.
