This is what emerges from the investigations of the Lodi Police Headquarters, coordinated by the prosecutor’s office and the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Bologna. According to what was reconstructed by the investigators, during the journey, having crossed the Italian border, the family had been divided: the father and brother had been abandoned near a motorway rest area in the province of UdineWhile the minor, the mother and the grandmotheraboard the other car, had been taken to a country town in the province of Reggio Emilia.
From here the minor, with a pretext, had then been removed and taken to another house. THEn this moment the seizure in person. After the ransom was paid, the minor was made to get back into the car and then be abandoned in Lodi, in the immediate vicinity of the ring road, where the police finally rescued her, near a petrol station.
The investigationsgames at that time, allowed us to locate the two cars of large displacement with which the family had been taken to Italy. The images from the video surveillance systems in the area and the monitoring of the social. And finally, almost a year later, the traffickers, experts on the Balkan route, ended up in handcuffs after being stopped by the Croatian police just whileand they were carrying seven other illegal immigrants aboard a car.
