GENOA – Few tourists during the long weekend of April 25th due to bad weather but more than encouraging data already from the month of May: this is the report on the trend of tourism in Liguria, recorded by hoteliers and operators in the sector.
Not optimal data for the end of April long weekend for a tourism that sees cities of art and places “below decks” preferred to the open spaces of the Ligurian Riviera, which is suffering a sharp drop in attendance. “Restaurants and bars have worked much harder than hotels, bed and breakfasts or guest houses which have not even achieved 70% of the occupancy – explains the president of the Young Hoteliers of Liguria, Fabio Raimondi -. A very negative figure, especially for the Italian market.”
However, the possibility of recovery for Ligurian hoteliers remains high as early as May and mid-June onwards: “The summer is full of sunshine and as you can say we are very positive. Let’s say that the signs of May give us a good boost of energy and adrenaline.”
The end of school and the start of real heat leaves us wondering very positive results throughout the summer until Septembera month in which a large number of bookings have already been recorded.
