An overly tight match by the Bianconere gave the victory to the home team. However, the behavior of the Terni managers is somewhat questionable.
In the twenty-seventh round of the women’s Serie B championship, the top clash between Ternana and Cesena takes place.
Simply a decisive dispute given the only two points separating the teams.
From the first minute of the game there was clearly little tranquility among all the Juventus ranks. The pressing implemented by the Umbrians proves successful. The visitors’ maneuver, usually fluid and particularly effective, was dirty and predictable, with the entire defensive line often forced to make a long pass, clearly favoring the Fere rearguard. The eleven chosen by Mister Conte, therefore, never manages to show himself as fully master of the pitch, with his team rarely managing to worry Ghioc. However, the first half ended goallesswith only Labate touching the net.
In the second half the red-green dominance materializes. An unfortunate intervention by D’Auria grants the home team a penalty which is then converted by Gonzalez Rodriguez which allows them to break the deadlock in the match.
The reaction of the Romagna players struggled and the match continued on the same tracks. Ten minutes from time the goal arrives which puts an end to the dispute thanks to a nice header from Quazzico from a corner, also thanks to an insecure exit from Serafino, who up to that point had made no mistakes on high balls. At the end only the crossbar prevented Jansen from reopening the match without managing to ignite the final minutes of the contest.
A challenge in which the fear of making mistakes prevailed sees the best equipped team as the winner.
D’Auria’s tears at the end of the match perfectly describe how much the girls wanted to conquer a difficult pitch like Narni. The desire to fight for every single ball was certainly not lacking, however the youth of the group may have played a left-handed trick on Cavalluccio. The fear of trying and making mistakes in certain matches is more than justified if you look at the average age of the squad.
What has certainly not been missing is the ardor to fight for the Bianconeri colours, making all the fans and managers proud who came to Umbria to unconditionally support Cesena.
Fans and managers who were not given due respect by the entire home club. Reserving the small number of three seats (exclusively for members) in a semi-empty grandstand on a rainy day is quite ridiculous. Forcing a Romagna fan to take off a scarf just because he wasn’t in his sector at the time actually falls into the grotesque. There’s no point in advertising a match as ‘free entry’ if it isn’t. At most we could have talked about free entry into the guest sector, but the three sessions intended for Cesena members would still have been insufficient. The entire Juventus management therefore decided to follow the match with the supporters who arrived from Romagna in an open corner in defiance of the flood that would then arrive, leaving others to rot in their pride and crass self-assurance…
