“We strongly believe in international partnershipsfundamental for building new opportunities for mutual growth”: this is the comment of the President of the Province, Rosaria Succurroduring the meeting held yesterday evening with the President of the Departmental Council of Kaolack (Senegal), Ahmed Youssouf Bengellouneaccompanied by his delegation.
The meeting with the President of the Senegalese Province was also attended by the President of the ASeCo Association (Senegalese Association of the province of Cosenza), Ibrahima D. Diop; the Secretary of the ASeCo Association, Talla Diakhoumpa, together with his deputy; the President of the FO.CO Cooperative, Alessandro Brullo; and the interpreter who promoted dialogue between the parties.
In thanking Ahmed Youssouf Bengelloune for his kind visit, President Succurro underlined that the meeting “is a reunion with the Senegalese community, because thanks to the contacts with Ibrahima of ASeCo we had already started this project years ago mutual relationship of exchange and above all friendship. Today the organization that I lead allows us to materialize this relationship, starting from the signing of a Friendship Pact between the two territories aimed at share those topics of interest of our communities – agriculture, slow and eco-sustainable tourism which represents a driving force for economic growth – which they will enrich both the territories”.
President Bengelloune also confirmed his desire to talk about territorial cooperation between the Province of Kaolack and that of Cosenza: “I am happy and I thank Dr. Succurro for thehospitality and thehospitality. In Italy the two central governments are in contact, but this cooperation is essential set out on the territories and with the populations and I am here for this reason. We want to sign partnership agreements between our two provinces to ensure that both populations can benefit from it” the comment.
The appointment is for a next meeting, again at the Provincial headquarters, for the signing of the Protocol which will be prepared in the meantime from the provincial offices and shared with the Senegalese partner.
