The former sports director of Casertana Aniello Martone talks about the promotion fight in view of the playoffs, speaking on the frequencies of TMW Radioduring ‘A Tutta C’:
“Crotone has weakened itself by removing some very expensive salaries for the category, for example Petriccione. Crotone and Catania are disappointments but can easily aspire to promotion because they have a good staff. In Crotone, however, the players are with the coach, while in Catania I see a bit of confusion, a bit of anarchy. It may be the first year of C or the lack of experience of the new club, but in my opinion Crotone can have its say more than Catania. Furthermore, on the slopes of Etna there is no Sports Director. 90% think that the DS is just a person who has to recruit the players, in reality he is different from scouting, he must be a manager of the locker room and the coach”.
“For me the playoffs will be decided between the top four of each group. The others are participants compared to those who were built to win. I divide the 10% chance for each team, the remaining 10% between Catania and Crotone, both built to win but which today are the disappointments of the championship.
