Surrounded by a pack of kids And beaten bloody. The victims are three friends between 17 and 18 years old, who ended up at the center of a violent attack in the Borsellino park in Legnano on the evening of April 30th. The boys were sitting on a bench just before midnight when suddenly they were approached by a group of around 15-20 teenagers.
This is the story of the worrying episode of violence one of the young people attacked, still shocked by what happened: «The boys asked us to move from the bench, they were no more than 15 years old – he says -. At first, we thought it was a joke. But when we got up to leave, they blocked our passage. The 4 girls who were with us managed to escape immediately.” What followed was a swift and brutal attack which saw one of his friends become the main target: «They started provoking him, for no reason. They just wanted to fight. He only reacted after receiving a slap, trying to defend himself. But there were too many, about twenty to one.”
The story continues by describing the violence that erupted in the following minutes: «My friend was beaten to death, until they ripped off his sweatshirt: his face was bleeding.” Not only him, but also the other members of the group suffered physical attacks: «Shortly afterwards they took it out on us too. They kicked us on the shins and the head. When I tried to run, yesI tripped and everyone threw themselves at me, hitting me with punches and kicks to the head.”
The situation has not degenerated further alone thanks to the intervention of some older kids who were in the park: «After about twenty seconds, these boys intervened and stopped the attack. They took us in front of the municipality where the police arrived. The ambulance was called and took us to the hospital. I was diagnosed with a head injury and other minor injuries, my friend with a chest contusion.”
The speed and ferocity of the attack left the three friends in a state of shock and disbelief: «We have been frequenting this park for ten years: we know that there is drug dealing but we have never witnessed anything like this. The cameras present at the park should have recorded the absolutely serious events.” The victims of the attack filed a complaint with the Police Force.
