CORPS PARTY OF THE 183rd “NEMBO” REGIMENT – THE COMMANDER: “PROUD TO BE THE PARATROOPERS OF PISTOIA”

PISTOIA – Two anniversaries were celebrated this morning in Piazza del Duomo: the 79th anniversary of the Case Grizzano military events and at the same time the Corps Celebration of the 183rd Nembo parachute regiment. The square was packed and all the city authorities were on stage.
The Regiment Commander, Colonel Alessandro Vivarelli, recalled the sacrifice of the Paratroopers at Case di Grizzano on 19 April 1945. Acts of pure heroism and extreme sacrifice demonstrated the value of those men”. Colonel Vivarelli also thanked Pistoia and the province for the indissoluble bond “We proudly feel like the paratroopers of Pistoia”. The Nembo Festival, which began at 10.30, ended with the launch of three parachutists in Piazza del Duomo, landing perfectly in the center of the Square.
