Bergamo, 19 April. (askanews) – The “Il Caravaggio” airport of Milan-Bergamo Orio al Serio is expanding. Sacbo, the company that manages the airport, presented the works to expand the passenger terminal for an investment of 41 million euros for the tourist and commercial development of the area, also in view of the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics. Furthermore, the first floor will host new security checks, with 14 stations for faster hand baggage analysis, a new duty free area and larger spaces for non-Schengen boarding.
