The FREE Coordination, in collaboration with many of the associations that are part of it and with the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, organized the first “Green Energy Day”: the day of the Energy Transition. The event, scheduled for 20 April 2024 throughout the national territory, provides that schools, families and, more generally, all those who are interested, can visit a renewable energy plant or a company that has undertaken a process of energy efficiency and decarbonisation.
At 12.00 tomorrow, Saturday 20 April, in the Aragonese Castle of Taranto, representatives of the FREE Coordination and all the organizing associations of the Green Energy Day will hold a hybrid press conference in person and remotely (here is the link: https://bit.ly /4aM1E0B) to promote the initiative and in which the associations’ requests to facilitate and accelerate the Energy Transition will be illustrated.
Before and after the press conference, a visit to a photovoltaic module treatment and recycling plant and a catamaran trip to the first, and still only, offshore wind farm built in the Mediterranean, located off the port of Taranto, are also scheduled.
