Manfredonia. The president of the Teatro Pubblico Pugliese, prof. Paolo Ponzio, yesterday reached Manfredonia for the press conference of “Peace – from Aristophanes”, the show of the Bottega degli Apocrifi on stage from tomorrow to Monday at the “Lucio Dalla” Municipal Theatre.
After the project press conference, in the afternoon Ponzio followed the rehearsals of the show – directed by Cosimo Severo – which sees 180 people on stage including actors, musicians, teenagers, children and citizens.
“The work that Bottega degli Apocrifi is carrying out in these very few months with many children and schools is truly commendable. The passion of Cosimo, Stefania and all the girls and boys who are passionate about the activities of this company which make theater a social, cultural, political work of welcome, inclusion and community is commendable.
Peace by Aristophanes is a comedy that evidently gave clear indications to the politics of the time in Athens, but still gives us useful tools today to analyze the political events of our region and our city.
The Teatro Pubblico Pugliese can only be close, attentive and alongside these realities of social and educational theater because only through the education of young people will it be possible to create aware and critical citizens for the future of our communities”.
