The wave of triumph for Lamezia sport continues and I am proud to express, on behalf of the Municipal Administration of Lamezia Terme, great applause and pride for the exceptional success achieved by the young athletes of Arvalia Nuoto Lamezia.
As many as 11 athletes have brilliantly represented our community on the national stage, achieving extraordinary results that testify to their talent, dedication and constant commitment to pursuing their goals.
In particular, I applaud the exceptional performance of Gianluca Pittelli who, with his prestigious silver medal in the 100 breaststroke, demonstrated extraordinary strength and technique, confirming himself among the best youth swimmers in the country.
His determination and competitive spirit at the “National Youth Criteria 2024” took him to the highest steps, becoming Italian vice champion. My joyful embrace cannot be missed also for all the other very young swimmers who provided extraordinary performances while also improving their personal bests.
The success of our very young athletes is not only a source of pride for their family and for the sports club that trained them, but it is a heritage for the whole city, representing the best of a youth who with commitment and sacrifice have shown they can compete at the highest level, becoming positive examples for all young people.
Congratulations go to Arvalia Nuoto Lamezia, a pillar of the city’s sport, for its constant commitment to the national swimming scene. Thanks to the coaches, technical staff and managers, the team is not just a sports club, but a family in which solidarity and passion for swimming guide each member. Everyone’s dedication contributed to the success of the athletes, offering them not only sporting growth, but also values such as discipline and mutual respect. It is a place where joys and sacrifices are shared, where victories are celebrated and defeats faced together.
My applause also extends, and with the same incisiveness, at Ecosystem Lamezia Soccer for the extraordinary performance in the Futsal Series A2. The team concluded its historic first season in this category with a spectacular home victory against Bitonto, thus consolidating its stay in the series.
The Orange proved to be a force to be reckoned with, dominating the field and celebrating the end of a season full of successes and satisfactions.
In this moment of joy and triumph I want to thank the president Francesco Manfredi, congratulating the entire Lamezia Soccer Ecosystem for the exceptional season and for having raised the name of Lamezia Terme so high in the national futsal panorama.
The team is an example of determination and passion, demonstrating that with commitment and talent it is possible to achieve great goals and maintain them.
The Municipal Administration is proud to be able to count on such a strong and determined team, which right from their symbolic colour, orange, refers to the colors of our Extraordinary Calabria of which they are a masterful expression.
