“Place flowers on your balconies – poetic and beautiful attack” is the claim of the third edition of the competition “Together flourish”, created with the aim of setting up balconies, terraces, corners, walls, shop windows, etc. using green or flowering plants visible from squares, streets or other spaces accessible to the public. The aim of the event which aims to involve the entire city, starting from the balcony of Palazzo di Città, is to raise citizens’ awareness of the advantages linked to the presence of plants, which contribute to promoting positive emotional interaction.

Making citizens participate in the care of the city’s spaces and places, contributing to its beauty and the values ​​of environmental sustainability through attention and care of flowering plants; promote the emotional bond they have with their city by becoming protagonists in spreading the image of a welcoming and flourishing community.

The administration thus continues in the wake of achieving coexistence between the built environment and green spaces to trigger interest in a community cultural development project that sets us on paths aimed at understanding and promoting the importance of biodiversity in the urban context. Participation is free, free and open to: all citizens domiciled in the city of Andria; non-residents who own properties in Andria; commercial operators; the schools; associations; the groups created for the occasion. Everyone must have a balcony, windowsill, terrace, shop window or private garden overlooking a municipal road, of any kind and size, and who undertake, at their own expense, to furnish them with plants and flowers.

To participate, fill out the attached form and send it together with the photos of your composition via e-mail to [email protected] or deliver the form and the printed photos personally to the Culture office at the municipal library G. Chickpeas. The registration application accompanied by photos must be received betweenApril 20th and May 20th 2023. The prize, obviously, will be a kit of flowering plants with everything needed to keep them planted and in good health.
